A dedicated and hands-on Farm Manager/Caretaker to live in the provided housing, to provide full-time, year round, care for the animals and property. This role requires a couple who is passionate about agriculture, animal husbandry, the environment, and property maintenance. The Savanna Institute invites applications for an Illinois Demonstration Farm Manager to manage three Savanna Institute-managed agroforestry production-focused demonstration farms. Gwenyn Hill Farm is hiring full-time, seasonal employees for our 2026 vegetable production crew.

Farm crew members work with our management team, crew leaders, and farm staff to perform day-to-day operations in our 12 acres of vegetable fields. This work includes but is not limited to: greenhouse production, planting, weeding, harvesting, mulching, trellising, washing, packing, CSA and Farmers Market customer service, general farm maintenance such as mowing, and accurate record-keeping.

Gwenyn Hill Farm is hiring a full-time, seasonal employee to keep our self-serve Farmstand and Saturday farmers market booth running smoothly. In addition to completing stocking, customer service, inventory, and cleaning duties at these locations, the person in this position will also participate in a range of vegetable production activities at the farm. These other activities include greenhouse production, planting, weeding, harvesting, mulching, trellising, washing, and packing.

We are looking for people eager to learn to bring on board for the 2026 growing season! Turner Farm’s vegetable production consists of approximately eight acres under intensive, primarily market-garden style cultivation, with a small amount of acreage in row crops. Crops supply our on-farm market, a 80-member CSA, and a local farmers market. We use a unique mix of hand tools, tractors, and draft animals in the fields. All production is certified organic by the USDA and Real Organic Project.

We are a four-season vegetable farm located in Afton, MN, just east of St. Paul. We focus on no-till, human-scale, intensive vegetable production, utilizing moveable high tunnels, paperpot transplanters, and other tools to make the work easier and the soil happier.

Crew members participate in all aspects of vegetable production, including seeding, planting, cultivating, harvesting, washing, packing, and farm market display set-up.

We have full-time and part-time openings for 2026!

Come work along side owner/operators Les and Els as we plant and harvest two acres of vegetables for CSA and farmers market sales.

Regular tasks will include: Seeding, Bed Preparation, Planting, Weeding and Maintenance, Harvesting, Packing, Equipment Operation, Quality Control, and Delivery.

Compensation includes hourly wage, access to fresh, organic vegetables from the farm, gear stipend, end-of-season bonus. Returning employees receive a wage increase each season.

The Troy Farm Assistant Farm Manager will work closely with the Farm Manager on the day-to-day of the farm, which involves performing tasks and assisting with leading and training full-season farm crew employees and many volunteers through field and harvest tasks. The Assistant Farm Manager will also assist with making plans for the farm and crew, setting priorities for the day/week, and work with the Farm Director to keep the big picture of the farm in mind.

The Garden Manager at Glen Brook leads a diversified, regenerative market garden serving camp meals, CSA members, and community partners. This role oversees crop planning, planting, soil health, irrigation, harvest, and post-harvest handling while supervising seasonal staff and volunteers. The Garden Manager also supports hands-on education, modeling stewardship, teamwork, and safe, efficient farm practices.
