A grass-based organic dairy farm in western NY is seeking a motivated and capable person to begin serving as a herdsman and possibly develop an ownership stake in the herd. The farm has 300 acres of pasture and currently milks about 100 cows. It is a well-capitalized farm with an excellent organic milk market. There is an opportunity for a candidate who already owns cows to add them to the existing herd and move to a profit sharing arrangement.

This position supports Seed Savers Exchange through the work of onsite seed productions of open-pollinated, heirloom varieties. With a focus on assisting with field preparations, transplanting, field maintenance, seed harvesting, and seed processing, this year-round position also includes propagation in the greenhouse, as well as seed packaging and supporting with order fulfillment duties in the winter months.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to lead the operations of our small-scale organic vegetable farm. As the Farm Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our farm by overseeing day-to-day operations, planning for the future, and utilizing sustainable agricultural practices. Your leadership skills, strong work ethic and passion for organic farming will contribute to the growth and prosperity of our farm.

The Land and Livestock Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of organic field crops, organic dairy and pasture-based livestock production at Gwenyn Hill Farm. The ideal applicant qualifies as a mentor dairy grazier by having five or more years of successful grazing experience, or is a grazing apprentice graduate with three years experience.

Farmer Advocate to provide technical assistance and support to The Hmong American Farmers Association (HAFA) farmer members, as well as grow HAFA’s membership, and the organization’s strategic partnerships in growing intergenerational and community wealth for farmers.

Hand weeding and cultivating soil. Seeding and transplanting by hand. Harvesting and hauling crops. Washing and packaging vegetables for three farmers markets and 120 member CSA. Farming can be beautifully repetitive. Those that can find joy in sometimes simple, repetitive work will appreciate many of the tasks required in maintenance of a farm.

At the White Violet Center, you’ll find a farm store, alpacas, chickens, bees, USDA certified organic gardens with two high tunnels and two greenhouses, an orchard, and a classified forest. We offer hands-on experience in sustainable farming. Specific duties largely revolve around small farm operations such as planting, weeding, seeding, and other growing-related tasks for our vegetables, herbs and flowers. Interns also participate in the care of our alpaca herd and flock of chickens.

Located in SW Wisconsin, Crawford Stewardship Project is a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to protect Crawford and neighboring counties from threats of polluting/extractive industries, to promote sustainable land and water use, environmental justice, and local control of natural resources.

The Carleton Farm Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of activities at the Carleton Student Organic Farm. This is a part-time hourly position 15 hours a week.

Job Description:
The Bookkeeper is to report to the Operations Director and work alongside with the organization's Executive Director and Accountant to ensure the financial well-being of the organization. At the direction of the management team, the position also contributes to the financial strategy for the different programs within HAFA. The Bookkeeper is responsible for regular monitoring and maintaining HAFA’s financial systems, programs, and processes.

Seed Savers Exchange is a non-profit organization based in Decorah, Iowa focused on conserving and promoting America's culturally diverse but endangered garden and food crop heritage for future generations. This position is responsible for the efficient, timely, and accurate coordination of all incoming and outgoing shipments. The ideal candidate should be a detail-oriented individual with proficiency in shipping and business software. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt position.

Seed Savers Exchange is a non-profit organization based in Decorah, Iowa focused on conserving and promoting America's culturally diverse but endangered garden and food crop heritage for future generations. This position is responsible for maintaining Seed Savers Exchange’s facilities, grounds, and equipment. In the winter months, this position helps in our Seed House with order fulfillment duties.
