About the Position
North Country Creamery is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team in a combined herd and creamery role. This position offers a variety of hands-on tasks with both our milking herd and our farmstead creamery.
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Pay: starting $16.50/hour, increases with proficiency and tenure at creamery
Schedule: Sundays and Mondays off

We are looking for people eager to learn to bring on board for the 2026 growing season! Turner Farm’s vegetable production consists of approximately eight acres under intensive, primarily market-garden style cultivation, with a small amount of acreage in row crops. Crops supply our on-farm market, a 80-member CSA, and a local farmers market. We use a unique mix of hand tools, tractors, and draft animals in the fields. All production is certified organic by the USDA and Real Organic Project.

We are a four-season vegetable farm located in Afton, MN, just east of St. Paul. We focus on no-till, human-scale, intensive vegetable production, utilizing moveable high tunnels, paperpot transplanters, and other tools to make the work easier and the soil happier.

Crew members participate in all aspects of vegetable production, including seeding, planting, cultivating, harvesting, washing, packing, and farm market display set-up.

We have full-time and part-time openings for 2026!

Come work along side owner/operators Les and Els as we plant and harvest two acres of vegetables for CSA and farmers market sales.

Regular tasks will include: Seeding, Bed Preparation, Planting, Weeding and Maintenance, Harvesting, Packing, Equipment Operation, Quality Control, and Delivery.

Compensation includes hourly wage, access to fresh, organic vegetables from the farm, gear stipend, end-of-season bonus. Returning employees receive a wage increase each season.

Market Garden Manager

Key Responsibilities
● Manage and execute daily farm operations to meet production goals
● Lead and support Gathering Ground’s educational and outreach programs, including: Internship trainings, Farm tours, Farmers market participation, Seminars and community events

● Collaborate with Gathering Ground Staff to develop farm plan and marketing strategies

The AgrAbility and Tractor Safety Outreach Program Coordinator position is designed to provide outreach and support for programs that promote safety and health for Wisconsin farm businesses. The Outreach Program Coordinator will organize and maintain the development and delivery of the AgrAbility of Wisconsin Project and the Youth Tractor and Machinery Safety Program.

The Troy Farm Assistant Farm Manager will work closely with the Farm Manager on the day-to-day of the farm, which involves performing tasks and assisting with leading and training full-season farm crew employees and many volunteers through field and harvest tasks. The Assistant Farm Manager will also assist with making plans for the farm and crew, setting priorities for the day/week, and work with the Farm Director to keep the big picture of the farm in mind.

The Garden Manager at Glen Brook leads a diversified, regenerative market garden serving camp meals, CSA members, and community partners. This role oversees crop planning, planting, soil health, irrigation, harvest, and post-harvest handling while supervising seasonal staff and volunteers. The Garden Manager also supports hands-on education, modeling stewardship, teamwork, and safe, efficient farm practices.

McHenry County ND. Looking for caretaker (single, couple, or small group of responsible adults) to start by Jan 4 2026 or earlier for a minimum stay of 6 months, but a longer term is possible. The Farm Technician/Educator works under the leadership of the Outreach/Education (O/E) Manager to maintain our outdoor learning space (the Community Classroom) and support educational programming in accordance with Sola Gratia Farm’s mission.

The Great Lakes Incubator Farm (GLIF) is seeking students for their experiential farm training program. Students will collaborate by working directly alongside the Farm Manager to run a fully functioning farm business while also engaging in classroom instruction, field demonstrations, and daily fieldwork. This comprehensive 7-month program is best suited for those seriously considering a career in agriculture.

Working with Gathering Ground staff, the market garden manager will execute the farm production schedule for the growing season. This market grows a variety of summer and winter veg that is sold at the farmers market, farm stand, CSA and distributed to area food pantries. The market garden is also a teaching garden for interns, guests, and is open for tours. Market Manager should have 1-2 year experience growing veg, and some experience managing other people.

Ground School on Washington Island. The Full Season agricultural internship in diversified vegetables and fruit (6 month, May-Oct) will provide you with the full season experience on the farm from seed-starting and transplanting to harvest and marketing. Work is a wide variety of field work, greenhouse work, planting, transplanting, harvesting, weeding, washing, irrigating, pruning, flower arranging, covering and uncovering beds, packing, delivering, mulching, market prep, produce selling, equipment/tool/vehicle maintenance, construction, land maintenance, mowing, fence mending, organic pest control, wood cutting, and a multitude of other tasks. Though not yet certified, we exclusively use organic best practices.

Our apprenticeship is an educational, hands-on experience in small-scale organic agriculture on a production farm. Apprentices practice engaging body and mind in the art and science of tending the land. Working closely with the farm managers, apprentices will have the opportunity to develop their craft in the fundamental aspects of market gardening: field and soil preparation, propagation, transplanting, cultivation and pest management, harvesting, and marketing. We are looking to hire for a couple of positions for the 2026 season. Our plan for the season is around 4 acres of production including high tunnel and greenhouse operations. Going into our 8th season, we are currently marketing a customizable CSA, attending 3 farmers markets and distributing to local small scale wholesale accounts. We seek a talented individual to run our dynamic, well-organized packshed on a 23-acre organic vegetable farm. The ideal applicant enjoys organization and systems, is skilled at training and leading the work of others, has excellent attention to detail, is adept at multi-tasking, is able to work quickly and accurately, upholds and communicates about quality standards, and has strong verbal communication skills.
