Provide a broad range of finance-focused technical assistance in service of farmer entrepreneurs and the consultants who support them. Help this audience increase their financial management skills, improve business models, and more successfully access capital. This position will provide oversight, build financial models, support training delivery, provide coaching or consulting, manage client intake processes, coordinate programs and program cohorts, and provide support FFI farm programs.

Our vegetable team raises top-quality organic produce from seed to harvest and seedlings for urban farms. We have 20 acres in production, two high tunnels for year-round production, a new wash-and-pack facility, and a log-grown shiitake operation. Job Summary: Reporting to the Development Director, the Grants Specialist supports LSP to achieve its mission by securing funding, stewarding positive relationships with funders, and leading essential administrative aspects of the fundraising process. The Grants Specialist will lead proposal and report writing and relationship stewardship for a portfolio of 5-10 institutional funders, track key deadlines and deliverables for LSP’s institutional fundraising, and assisting with financial tracking.

About the position:

Interns work approximately 35-40 hours per week week including some weekends & holidays. Internships are a minimum of three months up to one year. Responsibilities include:

Plant, mulch, weed, & other seasonal farm tasks
Harvest, clean and pack seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs, berries & flowers
Feed and care for alpacas & chickens
Gather, clean & process eggs
