Business Decisions: Food Access Programs, Wholesale & Beyond
Dec 06, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM CT
Osceola, WI | Free
Making big decisions about your farm can be exciting and impactful, especially when your farm values feeding those in need in your community. The ability to make difficult decisions can determine the long term business success of your farm!
Join the Wisconsin Local Food Purchase Assistance (WI LFPA) Program and Philadelphia Community Farm for a workshop on holistic decision making for your farm. During this workshop, learn how to balance your farm’s values related to farming for food access programs with important business considerations through a process called Adaptive Learning. Attendees will gain the skills needed to identify and address weak links, adverse factors, and log jams before they become a problem. Farmers should attend this workshop to better understand themselves, their business, and the hunger relief communities that they work with. The practice of Adaptive Learning leads to holistic decision making that centers the farm organism and allows farmers to maintain their values related to hunger relief.
