Sedera 101: breaking down the basics of health cost-shares

Most of us grow food outside the industrial system because we know the big system stopped serving the people at both ends: the grower and the eater. Health care has the same problem, and a parallel economy is emerging around it.

On November 5 at 6 pm CT, Sedera will walk the Marbleseed community through an alternative to health insurance, a cost-share program. If you become a Marbleseed member by supporting Marbleseed at any amount, you will have access to Sedera's offerings.

The webinar will cover three buckets of information:

  • Intro to Sedera and the basics of cost-share

  • Everyday care (visits, labs, generic prescriptions) through TRU, with a doctor you can actually reach and cash prices you can see. No claim, no EOB, no prior auth.

  • The big, unexpected stuff (surgery, a hospital stay) through Sedera Prime+, a medical cost sharing community. Members share each other's large bills directly, and those bills get negotiated down before they're shared.

Sedera isn't insurance, and we are honest about the trade-offs: sharing is voluntary; there are limits on pre-existing conditions, and it isn't the right fit for everyone. Yet, at a time when health insurance premiums are skyrocketing, Sedera provides an alternative option for farmers and their families to receive top notch health care. Join us for this webinar, come skeptical, come with questions! We're excited for you to join us.

Webinar will run 30 minutes with time for questions after it concludes.
